New King Pin
BP named Robert Dudley the new CEO Tuesday. Allan Edwards commented that he wanted the new BP to be smaller more humble and less arrogant. Edwards had some choice words for exiting 'king pin' Tony Hayward. He stated:
"I wish that for just one time Hayward could stand inside a Gulf of Mexico's residents shoes and just for that one moment he could be them. Yes, I wish that for just one time he could stand inside there shoes then he would know what a drag it is to see him."
The magnitude of the quote is humbling. He wishes that Hayward would be a resident in the Gulf of Mexico for the sole purpose of being a resident to know the current disdain the people have for him.
BP has stated they will allocate over 30 billion to cover damages from the spill and the new CEO promises new safety mechanisms to be put in place.
