Middle Eastern Unrest Sends Stocks Lower, SP 500, Dow Jones

NEW YORK - U.S. stocks were lower in early trade, after the market resumed from a 3 day break. There has been tremendous political unrest in the Middle East, which has the ability to affect the world's economic recovery. Moammar Gaddafi the leader of Libya has been combating protesters with helicopters and warplanes leaving a speculated 233 dead.

The Middle Eastern unrest began in December 2010 and involves to date: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Western Sahara and Yemen, who have had major protests. Egypt and Tunisia has seen revolutionary changes in government with Egyptian's President Mubarak slowly leaving the country and President Ben Ali of Tunisia has fled to Saudi Arabia the home of terrorist organization Hamas.
