NEW YORK - Public anger has mounted in Japan. Protesters chanted "No more Fukushima," as the plants reactor continues to leak radiation. The protesters were polite, but the protest was to force the government to re-think its nuclear energy policies, which is roughly 30% of Japanese electricity.
Tokyo Electric Power Co, known as TEPCO, built nuclear reactors far away from Tokyo in the case of a disaster. It costs them money to transport the electricity. Japan has become increasingly reliant on nuclear energy since it has very few oil and coal resources.
