The New IPAR From Apple

NEW YORK - Technology behemoth Apple (AAPL) released its Ipad on Wednesday and investors and consumers shrugged it off. The new device looks par and some said it should be called the IPAR. This is because the device cannot be seen as exceptional or poor so it is par. The company which pushes minimalist and simple designs, decided to go for a minimalist upgrade for the product. The device is called the New Ipad instead of the Ipad3. This is the second major product release since business magnate and creator of Apple Steve Jobs died. Jobs died on October 5th, 2011.

The new Ipad has an ultra HD screen. It has millions of pixels. The company says it has a retina display which means people can't see small pixels if they look close. The company upgraded its camera to 5 mega pixels. The company added new features to the camera so it does not shake. The company added voice dictation to the Ipad. The company improved the wireless network for the Ipad. The device was smaller and thinner and the price was similarly priced to the Ipad 2. Apple stock (NASDAQ: AAPL) remained little change on the news. Apple is hoping people upgrade to the new Ipad. However it is possible people now snap up all the markdown Ipad 2.

Some consumers were hoping for a device similar to that of the Samsung slate which runs Windows 7. The device is a tablet but it has a real operating system on it. The new Ipad has the same limitations as its predecessors. Tim Cook unlike Steve Jobs highlighted in his presentation how consumer studies have shown the Ipad to rank supreme in browsing the internet. This is something Steve Jobs never seemed to care about since he understood what he liked. Apple may have trouble going forward without its legendary visionary. They now are relying on people with less vision at the top. The pretty devices, the minimalist design, the impressive marketing is still in the lifeblood of Apple but minimalist upgrades may be part of the new makeup.
