Sohu.com Inc Jumps On Rumors (SOHU, POT, NFLX, MSFT, RIMM)

Sohu.com Inc.(NASDAQ:SOHU) is one the notable gainers and gained over 4% to $57.11 on unconfirmed rumors that the company may be an acquisition target. Today's run was kickstarted by a tweet from Citroen Research saying that the research firm sees a selling price of over $70 for Sohu. The stock has jumped over 14% so far this year and down over 30% over the past one year.
Potash Corp./Saskatchewan (USA)(NYSE:POT) rose 2.33% to $46.58 on high volume. On Friday, the company said that it was on track to restart two mines closed in December and January. So far this year, the stock has climbed over 12% and down over 18% over the past one week. Potash Corp is the largest producer of Potash and own stakes in companies across the world with key production assets.
Microsoft Corporation(NASDAQ:MSFT) is the biggest gainer on the DOW and added 1.60% to $32.51. The stock has outperformed so far this year on expectations from the company’s upcoming Windows 8 operating system. So far this year, the stock has climbed over 25% and up over 28% over the past one week.
Netflix, Inc.(NASDAQ:NFLX) are gaining over 1% despite the news that the company has eliminated KPMG LLP as an accounting firm of the company and replaced with Ernst & Young LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2012.
 Research In Motion Limited (USA)(NASDAQ:RIMM) added 3% to $14.14 ahead of its quarterly earnings  later this week on Thursday. Analysts are not much bullish in the company’s earnings and projects the company to report in line earnings as well the company is expected to provide lower guidance on the back of strong competition from its key rival Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL). The stock has been struggling over the past year and made an all time low of $12.45 recently. The stock has slumped over 75% over the past one year.
