Ctrip.com International Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ:CTRP) went up 8.96% to $21.41 on a traded volume of 2.11 million shares after the Company announced first quarter results. Net revenues increased 19% to RMB911. Gross margin was 75% for the first quarter of 2012. Net income declined 28% to RMB169 million. Diluted earnings per ADS were RMB1.11 in the first quarter of 2012. The Company expects the net revenue growth of approximately 15-20% for the second quarter of 2012.
GameStop Corp (NYSE:GME) plunged 8.78% to $19.01 on a traded volume of 4.31 shares after the Company reported first quarter results. Net income was $72.5 million or 54 cents per share compared to $80.4 million or 56 cents per share in the prior year period. Revenue declined 12% to $2.00 billion. However, analysts expected earnings of 54 cents per share on revenue of $2.05 billion.The Company expects earnings of 10 cents to 18 cents per share, below analysts' estimates of 25 cents per share for the second quarter of 2012.The Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per common share, payable on June 12, 2012.
Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:PANL) among the losers and moved down 8.78% to $29.39 on a traded volume of 2.16 million shares. The stock opened at $31.0. The 52-week range for the stock is $22.73 and $60.28. The Company restated that it expects revenues for fiscal 2012 to be in the range of $90 million to $100 million.
Velti Plc (NASDAQ:VELT) soared 10.16% to $6.30 after the Company announced first quarter results. Net loss was $8.82 million or $0.14 per share compared to $15.87 million or $0.34 per share in the prior year period. Total revenues increased 75% to $51.79 million. However, analysts estimated revenue of $46.37 million for the quarter.
The Company expects second quarter revenues to be in the range of $55 million to $59 million.
Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:BYD) escalated 5.01% to $7.33. The Company will acquire Peninsula Gaming LLC for a total purchase price of $1.45 billion. Boyd Gaming expects the transaction to close by the end of 2012.
