Vringo Inc (NYSEAMEX: VRNG) jumped up 13.97% to $4.12 on a
traded volume of 156k shares. Vringo is expected to complete its merger with
I/P Engine Inc on July 19, 2012. I/P Engine is wholly owned subsidiary of
Innovate/Protect which has entered into a definitive merger agreement with
Vringo.
ASML Holding N.V. (ADR) (NASDAQ:ASML) surged up 7.88% to
$52.25. Nomura restated the rating on the stock to buy in a research note.
Intel Corp agreed to invest as much as $4.1 billion in Dutch chip-equipment
maker ASML Holding NV in an effort to shave two years from the time to adopt
new production techniques.
magicJack VocalTec Ltd (NASDAQ:CALL) soared 11.90% to $20.94
after the Company announced second quarter guidance. The Company expects second
quarter revenue to be in the range $37.5 - $38.5 million. The Company expects
EPS will be between $0.48 and $0.52 per share. Other Income will be around
$0.02 per share of the $0.48 - $0.52. The Company exited second quarter with
19.4 million shares outstanding. The Company has no secured debt and holds 35
million as cash and cash equivalents.
Synageva BioPharma Corp (NASDAQ:GEVA) increased 7.23% to
$44.33. The Company announced the pricing of its previously announced
underwritten public offering of common stock consisting of 2,428,000 shares at
$41.20 per share. Synageva granted to the underwriters a 30-day option to
purchase 364,200 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) shares fell 10.68%
to $5.02 in the after hour trading after the company cut its revenue
expectations for the second quarter, as smaller-than-expected sales in China
and Europe hurt the company's original-manufacturer business. The company now
expects revenue to decline 11% sequentially in the quarter ended June 30. It
previously expected sales to range between a decrease of 3% and an increase of
3% sequentially. The Company reported revenues of $1.59 billion in the first
quarter of 2012. Analysts are expecting the company to report revenues of $1.63
billion for the second quarter of 2012.
