Tech Earnings preview: Juniper Networks, Netflix, Broadcom Corporation (JNPR, NFLX, BRCM)


Following are the three notable tech companies which are all set to report their earnings tpday after market close:-
Juniper Networks, Inc.(NYSE:JNPR) is all set to report its second quarter earnings after market close on Tuesday. Analysts are estimating the company to report lower profit with revenue is estimated to fall by single digit. Average analysts are targeting JNPR to earn 16 cents a share, down about 48% from a year ago profit of 31 cents a share. Revenue is estimated to fall by 6.60% year over year to $1.05 billion, from $1.12 billion in a year ago quarter. Shares of JNPR have slumped about 28% so far this year. The stock is now down 3.30% to $14.72.

Netflix, Inc.(NASDAQ:NFLX) is all set to report its second quarter earnings. Average analysts forecast Netflix to report 5 cents a share of profit, well below from its year ago profit of $1.26. Revenue is projected to grow by 12.70% year over year to $888.90 million, from $788.61 million a year ago.  Investors would look for the company’s addition of subscribers during the quarter as well what the company’s say about its future subscribers target.

In the first quarter, the company had reported higher than estimated earnings and revenue and said DVD members declined to 10.1M in Q1; the company said domestic streaming members rose by 1.7M to 23.4M. The company has a goal of achieving 7M net subscriber additions in 2012.

Broadcom Corporation(NASDAQ:BRCM) also set to report second quarter earnings. Analysts are estimating the company to report lower profit despite revenue is estimated to rise by single digit. Average analysts are targeting BRCM to earn 67 cents a share, down from a year ago profit of 72 cents a share. Revenue is estimated to grow by 8.80% year over year to $1.95 billion, from $1.80 billion in a year ago quarter. Shares of BRCM have slumped about 10% since it reported first quarter earnings in April. The stock is now down 3.30% to $14.72.
