The first half of September is going to be exciting
for those looking forward to new gadgets to be launched by giants of the tech
world.
Nokia, Motorola, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple - al have
lined up launches and announcements.
First of the block is Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK),
which is expected to unveil its new smartphone on September 5 - the speculation
is, it is part of the Lumia series - in partnership with Microsoft’s Windows
Phone 8.
After a while, Nokia is creating a buzz usually
reserved for Apple or Samsung launches. Speculation has increased as to what
Nokia could possibly be offering as its last launch the Nokia Pure View, came
with an astounding 41 mega pixel rear camera.
Motorola has an event planned on the same day in New
York City though there no details of what it plans to announce nor is there any
speculation surrounding the event.

Just a day later, on September 6, Amazon.com,
Inc.(NASDAQ:AMZN) has invited the press to an event in the Los Angeles area.
There has been rumours floating around of a new,
larger Kindle Fire that the company is supposed to be working on and the event
gives credence to that rumour.
The existing 7-inch version is already one of the
best-sellers just behind Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) and expectations are high that
a new 10-inch one could easily surpass the iPad, especially since it would
available at a lower price point.
However there is another rumour doing the rounds that
the Internet retailer could be launching a smartphone. The Wall Street Journal
had reported on July 11 that Amazon's parts suppliers in Asia said the company
is "testing a smartphone and mass production of the new device may start
late this year or in early next year."
Of course, the show stopper for that fortnight will be
Apple, which on September 12 is expected to release its new iPhone 5 and
probably some newer versions of its existing products as well.
