Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Latest iPod Touch and iPod Nano, Samsung’s Ad Attacks Apple

In the general frenzy and hype surrounding the launch of the iPhone, some of Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL)’s other products have been largely ignored.

On September 12, the day the Cupertino company unveiled its iPhone 5, it also launched a new iPod Touch and a refurbished iPod Nano.

The new iPod touch has a redesigned 4-inch retinal display and is housed in a much slimmer and lighter body.

Apple's new generation A5 chip makes the new iPod Touch more powerful and can deliver graphics faster compared to the previous versions. However battery life is maintained at 40 hours of music playback and eight hours of video playback.

The device has a 5 megapixel iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording,. It has image stabilisation, face detection and an LED flash that makes photographing a good experience.

The new iPod Touch comes with Apple's new iOS 6 mobile operating system, including Siri.

Samsung Electron’s new advertisement for the Galaxy S3 is a no holds-barred attack on Apple's new iPhone.

It features the iPhone with the line "it doesn’t take a genius' and lists most of its features. Then it shows the Galaxy S3 with the line 'the next big thing is already here' and then all its features, which are obviously much longer than that of the iPhone.

The defeat at the hands of Apple in a San Jose federal court is obviously rankling and so far as Samsung is concerned, its war now.

The two companies are engaged in patent disputes across several courts with Apple alleging that Samsung has slavishly copied the designs of its iPhones and iPads.

  1. It doesn't matter how many times Samsung attacks Apple. Apple is here to stay. Some people just don't like the design of that big, bulky S3 phone. Apple phones do more than enough. And the ipod touch is as good as bought. I love it. Glad I waited for it as opposed to getting the Samsung Galaxy Note.

  2. I'm a HUGE fan of Apple, but that doesn't mean that the Samsung products aren't good! It bothers me when people try to label one or another as 'bad' or 'good.' In many cases, and this case in particular, it's a matter of what you're looking for. Samsung is going way over the top with their ads. Maybe Apple is too, but I haven't seen any ads from Apple hacking at Samsung. Pretty much, I'd say don't necessarily listen to every review and biased report you see, whether on the news or the internet. Go with what suits your needs and tastes the best, and don't judge others' decisions! I, for one, am going with the new iPod touch
