We may not get to see the iPad Mini launching with the
iPhone 5, but we may get to see a new line of iPods.
According to 9to5Mac, at Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL)’s event
next week on September 12, a string of new iPods are likely to be present.
"Details on the changes coming in these new iPods
are currently scarce, but we believe that there will be at least two
new/updated iPod lines and possible a third,' it said.
While all of the iPods are supposed to come in
multiple colours, one of them will come in two sizes while the other two will
be with single storage capacity.
"With the current iPod Nanos and iPod shuffles
both available in multiple colours (and with the Nano currently available in
two capacities and the shuffle in one), we think it is likely that new iPod
Nanos and iPod shuffles are launching next week."

"However, it is possible that there is a third
line as well (that, too, comes in multiple colours). With the iPod touch
currently available in two colours and three capacities (black/white, 8GB,
32GB, 64GB), we don’t believe the iPod touch is the third line that comes in
multiple colours."
Apple is not expected to club the iPad Mini with the
iPhone, because both are iconic products and the company would not want to dilute
the brand equity of either.
However it is a moot point whether the company will be
launching a new iPod Touch next week. A new upgraded iPod Touch is expected
this year but when exactly is not clear.
