The highly anticipated 13-inch
Retina MacBook Pro TV ad has officially been released by Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL)with
a tagline of "for the pro in all of us", highlighting its spectacular
wide viewing-angle attributes by a 90-degree pan and showing the display from
all angles. The ad came on during ABC's "Modern Family," as well as
other shows earlier.
The 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro TV has a
2,560-by-1,600 pixel density display that generates 227 pixels per inch and can
scale to a resolution of 1,680-by-1,050. The 15.4-inch version announced in
June has a pixel density of 2,880-by-1,800, yielding 220 pixels per inch. The
resolution it can scale to comes to 1,920-by-1,200.
Both products are equipped with latest Intel Ivy
Bridge processors, 8GB of
1600MHz DDR3L memory and solid-state drives, while the 13.3-inch model lacks
the quad-core processor and discrete Nvidia graphics in the 15.4-inch model.
The 13.3-inch model has a 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor and can turbo
boost up to 3.1GHz. It is priced at $1,699.
