Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is set to enter a whole new
segment with its Nexus 10 which is 10 inches in size and is priced higher
compared to the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 4.
The Nexus 10 has been manufactured by Samsung and will
be sold directly by Google for $399 for a 16 GB version and $499 for a 32 GB
model.

JR Raphael, who reviewed the device on Computer World,
said that the Nexus 10 has the look and feel of a Samsung tablet.
"The device has a plastic-based construction that
comes across as more utilitarian than premium. This isn't necessarily a bad
thing, but it's a significant difference from the sleek and metal-centric
approach used by products like Asus's Transformer Pad Infinity and Apple's
iPad."
"The Nexus 10's casing has a rubberized sort of
feel that's pleasant to the touch; the tablet is easy to hold and never feels
like it's slipping out of your hands. At 1.3 pounds and a 0.35-inch thickness,
the device is relatively light and thin, too -- more so even than Apple's latest
offering, which comes in at 1.44 pounds and 0.37 inches."
Raphael says that the best feature on the Nexus 10 is
its face which has a display of 2560 x 1600 pixels and resolution of 300 ppi,
the highest on any tablet currently. Compare it with the iPad which has a
display of 2048 x 1536 with a resolution of 264 ppi.
The Corning Gorilla glass is sharp and watching high
definition movies on it is a good experience.
The only negative is the Nexus 10's built-in auto
brightness feature, which I found to be rather erratic: Regardless of where I
used the tablet, the screen's brightness would randomly fluctuate every 30
seconds or so, even when I was holding the device perfectly still in stable
lighting conditions. This seems to be a consistent issue with Samsung-made
mobile products, said Raphael.
Nexus 10 is the only tablet which seems best competitor of ipad and winner also. The insane resolution with higher ppi makes it right choice to buy.
