Things
are getting clearer now. After AT&T Inc.(NYSE:T) had vaguely pointed out to
the launch of its first set of Windows Phone 8 handsets sometime in November,
it has finally divulged something in specific.
Nokia
Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK)’s Lumia 820 and 920 have been awaited for quite a
long. Both will be launched in 9th November. The pre-orders for the
handsets will begin on the 7th this month.
In
spite of opposite news, the flagship Lumia 920 is priced at $99 with a two-year
warranty. This is because the AT&T-bound Lumia 900 made its debut at the
same price range.

Apart
from that, AT&T will also throw in a free wireless charging pad, for a
limited span of period. This move is highlighting the fact that how strongly
Nokia wants customers to buy its handsets. At the same time, the mid-range
Lumia 820 has been priced at $49. It is going to be interesting to witness what
kind of footing the handset will receive when the price disparity between Lumia
820 and Lumia 920 is comparatively a small one.
It
goes without saying that Nokia’s Windows Phones are not the only ones that are
being groomed for the launch in November. HTC’s Windows Phone 8X is scheduled
for a release before Thanksgiving. However, there has been no announcement
regarding an official release date. The standard 16 GB model comes with a $199 price
tag with a two-year contract. The people, who are more conscious about their
wallets, can opt for an exclusive 8 GB model that will be sold at $99.
Another
interesting point to this is that the carrier is releasing Samsung Galaxy Note
2 on the same day. Hence, there is every chance that the carrier is going to
declare a colossal launch on Friday.
T-Mobile
will be releasing Nokia Lumia 810 at $99 and HTC 8X at $149 by 14th
November.
