The Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) Lumia 420
and the LG Nexus 4 are possibly the two most-talked-about alternatives to the
iPhone presently in the market. Both the smartphones are flagship phones for
their respective operating systems, namely, Windows 8 and Android. It depends
on the operating systems when we assess which handset will be better. However,
comparing the specifications of both the handsets, one can always decide which
one is worth buying.
The Nokia Lumia 920 undoubtedly wins in terms of
looks and designs. If you are looking for something that has a striking
appearance, then this is the one to go for. Made from a blend of plastic, glass
and ceramic, the 920 is a unique phone in terms of looks and feel. The LG Nexus
4 is comparatively lighter and does not have much to impress in the department
of looks. However, what really matters is what is there under the hood. The 920
takes the cake in this department although it really is a matter of taste.
Both the handsets have a host of futuristic
technologies that place these phones on the bleeding edge of the mobile phone
industry. Both the phones use NFC, making way for wireless payments, high speed
data transfer and wireless charging. Both the handset will come with 2 highly
proficient cameras, although Lumia 920 has a host of distinctive camera
technologies that really are impressive.
Since the Lumia 920 is operating on a dual core
setup, one can expect a healthy battery life from the smartphone. As for the
Nexus 4, it can be assumed that the battery life will probably be lackluster in
comparison to Lumia 920.
The Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a 4.5-inch screen
with a high pixel density. The LG Nexus 4, on the other hand, will come with a
4.7-inch screen with a slightly smaller pixel density.
