Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 920 Sees Outstanding Demand At Amazon

Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK)’s latest Lumia 920 is faring well till date, pretty much in all kinds of markets it has been released. In the US, AT&T is the exclusive mobile carrier for Lumia 920. The handset seems to be doing very well there.

Is Lumia A Real Turnaround Formula For NOK and Investors Should The Stock Now? Find Out Here

Amazon believes that due to tremendous demand for the device, they are running short of cyan and yellow-colored stock.

The white and black versions can be ordered at Amazon Wireless. However, the retailer will ship the product in 1-2 weeks instead of immediately.

Now, considering how good the Nokia device is faring, can it really compete with the Samsung Galaxy S3 or Apple iPhone 5? It doesn’t seem so.

It was earlier this year, in April, to be precise, when Nokia had released the Lumia 900, which had topped Amazon sales charts. As per Nokia’s results of the second quarter, only 600,000 mobile phones were sold in North America. Analysts predicted that less than 300,000 of those phones were Nokia Lumia 900s.
The so-called ‘tremendous’ demand that Amazon has reported recently for Nokia Lumia 920 may not mean much. It can be explained by the theory that since Nokia is cautious after the poor demand of the Lumia 900, it simply did not produce enough units of Lumia.

However, the Nokia Lumia 920 can be more successful than the Nokia Lumia 920. It is possible to know the number of units Nokia is selling before the start of 2013, when Nokia’s quarter 4 results are going to be out.

Unlike the Lumia 900, Lumi a920 has something to stand apart from other smartphones available in the market. Features like 8.7 MP PureView camera has made it a popular choice in the current smartphone market. It is being estimated that minimum a couple of millions of units of Nokia Lumia 920 will be sold across the globe before 2012 ends.
