The countdown has begun. In less than 2 months, Research In
Motion Limited (USA)(NASDAQ:RIMM ) will unveil the first BlackBerry 10 devices.
And we now have the list of accessories for the new phone. In addition to the
stylish leather swivel holster, there is the multimedia dock, and hard shell and flip cover cases in a number
of colors, like red, grey, black and white. Neither images nor price list is
available as of now. All that we know now is that the Canadian company will
officially launch the phone on January 30th, 2013.
Meanwhile
Finnish phone maker Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) has quietly released a
new phone. And while there has been no press release (which is quite strange),
the product can be seen on the company’s website.
Well, the
new phone is the Nokia 114, a low-end phone with the ability to hold two
different SIM cards at one time. This phone does not have a similar single SIM
counterpart and while it does resemble the Nokia 109, it has a distinct look of
its own.
The 114 has
a 1.8-inch 128×160 pixels display, 1080mAh battery, VGA camera with video
recording capability, Bluetooth 2.1, and a standard set of Nokia feature phone
apps like calendar, alarm, calculator etc.
Although
it is now available only on Nokia’s India website, it will surely be soon offered in
other emerging markets also.
