Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:MOH) shares climbed 13.39% to

in the early hour after the shares of the company was upgraded by equities
researchers at Roth Capital from a “neutral” rating to a “buy” rating in a
report issued today.
Ampio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMPE) stock increased
5.42% to $5.02 in the morning hour after the company announced the significant
results from their further analysis of its Optina(TM) trial on DME. The
Optina(TM) trial, conducted at St Michael Hospital in Canada, was a phase II,
placebo-controlled, double-masked study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of
a 12-week treatment with oral Optina(TM) in adult patients with Diabetic
Macular Edema (DME).
WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE:WLP) shares climbed 3.47% to $61.99 in
the early hour after WellPoint Inc and AMERIGROUP Corporation announced that
they have entered into a definitive agreement through which WellPoint will
acquire Amerigroup. Under the terms of the agreement, WellPoint will pay $92.00
per share in cash to acquire shares of Amerigroup for a transaction value of
approximately $4.9 billion. The combined company’s Medicaid footprint will
include 19 states.
Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) shares declined 1.16% to $80.94
in the morning hour. On July 6, 2012, a federal judge granted preliminary
approval to Netflix’s $9 million settlement of class-action litigation accusing
the company of violating consumer privacy laws. The judge also certified a
nationwide class of current and former Netflix subscribers estimated in the
tens of millions.
