Under the terms of the agreement, WellPoint will pay $92.00 per share in cash to acquire shares of Amerigroup for a transaction value of approximately $4.9 billion. The combined company’s Medicaid footprint will include 19 states.

On July 6, 2012, a federal judge granted preliminary approval to Netflix’s $9 million settlement of class-action litigation accusing the company of violating consumer privacy laws.
