Though Apple
Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) initially goofed up its hot pick iPhone with the new mapping
solutions, but the company is alarmed and taking quick measures to control the
damage occurred. As it is rightly said that “better late than never”; Apple too
is hiring engineers to improve the iOS 6 Maps App. The company has exclusively
listed six new software engineer positions for its iOS Map Display team last
week according to Ycombinator forums user hownottowrite. The pre-requisite for the
job reads as follows:
Will AAPL Hit $1000 This Year? Don’t Miss Our Special
Report here
The
iOS Map Display team is looking for a proactive and hardworking software
engineer to join our team. Our team is responsible for displaying map content
for the Maps application on iOS. It is used by millions of customers and it’s
the best mapping program on any mobile platform. Our team is also responsible
for map display via MapKit, the iOS framework that displays maps used by
countless applications on the App Store.
However, everyone
knows that it is sheerly hyperbolic when Apple mentions its Mapping Solution to
be the best mapping program on any mobile platform. Since the time of its
release, the limitations of the device were evident the time it was released. Pictures
and reports of deformed roadways and missing, moved, or misnamed roads,
building, and towns can now be found all over the web.
In the face of the
scenario, Apple is thus desperately looking to employ new Maps engineers’
on-staff. This would not only help Apple to solve the issue but also confirm
that the company would not make any retreating move towards Google.
However, till then
the users of the iPhone would have to endure.
