Stryker Corporation(NYSE:SYK), which reports in
earnings on Wednesday after market hours, is expected to report a 7.7 percent
rise in earnings to 98 cents a share from 91 cents a year earlier, according to
Forbes.
For the fiscal year, analysts are expecting earnings
of $4.09 per share.
Revenue is projected to eclipse the year-earlier total
of $2.03 billion by 1.9 percent, finishing at $2.07 billion for the quarter.
For the year, revenue is projected to roll in at $8.63 billion.

Stryker has been rated Buy by a majority of analysts,
compared to many of its peers.
Forbes said that "Wall Street analysts have
become more optimistic about the stock recently and the number of buy ratings
has risen slightly over the past three months."
Shares of SYK are now down 0.30% to $53.30.
Online auction site eBay Inc(NASDAQ:EBAY) is expected
to post earnings of 54 cents a share in its third quarter on revenues of $3.41
billion, its performance boosted by PayPal as well as its e-commerce platform.
The company will be announcing its results on
Wednesday after market close.
In the year-ago quarter the company earned $491
million or 37 cents per share on revenues 0f $3 billion.
Investors and analysts will be watching out for
further growth in its marketplaces unit and in PayPal. Sales in Europe are
still expected to be weak due to the on-going economic woes in that region.
Recently eBay revamped its site aimed at simplifying
the shopping experience for customers.
Shares of EBAY are up 0.21%.
