The cost of Nokia
Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) 206 has officially come to surface and the device
is predicted to hit the shelves of retail stores along with the exclusive Slam
feature of Nokia for the very first time. The feature is also found on Asha
205. The 92g handset will be available in both single and double SIM variants.
Below the LCD display,
there is an alphanumeric keypad that has been made to assist convenient usage.
Users can enjoy the 1.3 MP camera with 4x digital zoom that can be found on the
back side for taking amazing pictures and recording videos.
To save media files,
the phones will come with 64 MB of internal memory, expandable to 32 GB through
a microSD card. Also, the phone has other entertainment functionalities like
Music Player, FM Radio and Media Player.
The 206 handset comes
with the exclusive Slam feature that is being offered by the Finnish company.
It is supposed to allow data transfer via Bluetooth. Slam would eliminate the
requirement of pairing devices and amp up the process of sharing files by
tapping two Bluetooth handsets.
Users can also enjoy
supported instant messaging services like Facebook chat, Twitter, eBuddy Chat
and Gtalk. Users will also be able to download other apps from Nokia Store.
With the help of the EasySwap technology the dual SIM allows users swap one SIM
card from another without having to switch off their phones.
Also, the device
incorporates Nokia Xpress Internet platform with the help of the cloud
technology of the company. The company takes pride in claiming that an 1110 mAh
battery is capable providing 47 hours of standby time in single SIM version
while users buying the dual SIM version will enjoy 28 days of standby time.
The Nokia 206 can be
bought online at $62, excluding taxes. The handset can be spotted in
interesting colors like Yellow, Magenta and Cyan.
