Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) Jumps 10% As It Reports Launch Dates For Lumia 820 And 920


Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) Lumia 820 and 920 is supposed to be available in different telecommunications carriers and retail stores in the United Kingdom and France as well as in other nations, as per the announcement that was made by the company on Monday.

As per the company, the Lumia 820 and 920 will be available in Russia, Germany and many different markets globally in the month of November.

Nokia’s new smartphones are slated to hit the shelves of retailers in the USA sometime in November. AT&T had initially confirmed that it will carry Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 along with other Windows smartphones. The Nokia Lumia 920 will be offered to customers exclusively by AT&T.

On the flip side, Verizon Communications has agreed upon selling the Nokia Lumia 822 while T-Mobile USA has agreed upon marketing the Nokia Lumia 810. The Finnish company has confirmed that the three smartphone models will be available in stores by next month.

Executive vice president of Nokia Corporation, Jo Harlow said that after seeing the positive response from the incredible innovation in the Nokia Lumia 820 and the Nokia Lumia 920, the company has been eager for users to start experiencing the phones for themselves.

Additionally, Harlow stated that the company is emphasizing on its efforts on working with partners, who identify the worth of that innovation and who are devoted in helping Lumia as well as the Windows Phone platform breakthrough in significant markers globally.

The Finnish mobile phone manufacturer said that all of its new smartphone devices feature the most sensitive touch screen in the world and the Nokia ClearBack technology offers an outstanding visibility even if someone is using the device under direct sunlight. The smartphone is also equipped with navigation applications including City Lens and Nokia Music.

Shares of NOK have gained almost 10% in the past two trading sessions and now up 4.50% to $2.79.
