Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK)’s recently launched
Lumia smartphones- 920 and 820 - will soon be launched in the United Kingdom,
according to various reports.
The devices, which are powered by Microsoft's Windows
Phone 8 operating system, will support 4G LTE network.
For those in the U.K. those who are on EE's network
can get this service o the Nokia phones in 11 major cities in the country.
"If you happen to reside in the said 11 covered
cities, then you can instantly enjoy this service when the Nokia Lumia 920 and
Nokia Lumia 820 launches in the UK. According to reports, the Lumia 920 shipped
yesterday on EE. The Nokia Lumia 820 will arrive on November 9," CMV Live
reported.

Nokia's Windows phones are a tad bit expensive when
they come unlocked but those who buy it as a bundled offering with the EE
network will be able to get it a price of 46 pounds a month and an upfront fee
of about 20 pounds.
"The package will give you unlimited texts,
calls, and 3GB worth of data. The Nokia Lumia 820 will be available for free on
a tariff and will cost you £36 per month. The plan will give you unlimited
calls and texts with 500MB worth of data on a monthly basis," the report
said.
Nokia had unveiled its smartphones in September, a
full week before Apple launched its iPhone 5. The Cupertino company has gone
ahead with selling its iPhones, hat is crating record sales but Nokia's phones
- which had to wait for the official launch of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8
operating software, have yet to see the light of day.
