Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR)
is a popular provider of 4G mobile broadband services in the US. Kajeet, on the
other hand, is a pay-on-the-move cell phone service that prioritizes kids. Both
the companies have announced a wholesale contract that will enable Kajeet to
offer mobile broadband service that is directly marketed to kids with the help
of the 4G network of Clearwire.
SVP of strategic
partnerships and wholesale at Clearwire, Don Stroberg said that the wireless
broadband network offered by Clearwire provides wholesale partners with a gripping
opportunity to get into the rapidly growing 4G market that would not be
possible for many of them to participate independently. Kajeet’s expansion of
its product portfolio to offer 4G services to their projected education
segments extends the reach of mobile broadband services to two major market groups.
Clearwire is excited about continuing building momentum for its wholesale 4G
business as the premier wholesale provider of 4G capacity to ISPs, carriers and
other service providers based in the US.
Kajeet’s 4G service
will keep the young crowd connected to their friends, school, family and other
community, social and educational services that they get involved in daily. Products
that are focused on the youth market will also give parents the essential tools
to oversee their kids’ internet usage and open new avenues for educators to
bring wireless into the classroom.
Founder and CEO of
Kajeet, Daniel Neal believes that children can benefit immensely from fresh and
thoughtfully designed opportunities to stay connected with the institutions and
people that help in guiding their individual development each day. With the
addition of 4G mobile broadband product to Clearwire, its customer can get new
connectivity options and lets Kajeet to expand its mobile service offerings so
that one can go on leading in the innovation and delivery of mobile solutions
that are ideal for educators, kids and families.
