U.S. stocks extended rally for the fourth straight
session on Monday ahead of anticipated central-bank talk in the days ahead. Dow
Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) was up 38 points to 13,114.10,
extending its 4-day rally to about 4%. S&P 500 rose +4.05 (0.29%) to 1,390.02
and Nasdaq gained +5.36 (0.18%) to 2,963.45. Following are the biggest

Vermillion, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRML) stock increased
11.22% to $2 in the early hour after the company announced positive results
from a new prospective, multi-center clinical study of its ovarian cancer
diagnostic OVA1. The study, referred to as OVA500, was led by Dr. Robert E.
Bristow, director of Gynecologic Oncology Services at UC Irvine Healthcare in
Orange, CA, and deputy editor of the journal Gynecologic Oncology.
The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE:SHAW) stock surged 59.65%
to $42.61 after the company announced it has signed a definitive merger
agreement with CB&I, under which CB&I will acquire Shaw in a cash and
stock transaction valued at approximately $3 billion. Under the terms of the
agreement, CB&I will acquire Shaw for $46.00 per share in cash and stock.
Shaw's shareholders will receive $41.00 in cash and $5.00 in CB&I equity
for each share of Shaw stock at closing.
